Sweet, spiced, and perfectly comforting, this pear and ginger oat crumble has a taste of winter warmth in every bite.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Peel, core and cube the pears into 3cm chunks then transfer them into a large bowl. Add the lemon juice, grated ginger, ground ginger, cinnamon and honey/maple syrup and give everything a good mix. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
To make the crumble topping add the jumbo oats, ground almonds and butter to a large bowl and rub together with your fingers until combined. Sprinkle in the sugar and ground cinnamon and stir together.
Remove the pears from the oven and cover the fruit evenly with the oat crumble topping.
Place the pear crumble in the oven and cook for 20 minutes, until the oats turn golden on top.
