Oatmeal Prawn Dumplings

Ingredients

THE PRAWN DUMPLINGS

160g prawns

1 heaped tbsp Mornflake Medium Oatmeal 

1 finely sliced spring onion

Salt and chilli flakes

12 dumpling wrappers

TO SERVE

1 tbsp sesame oil to fry

Soy sauce

Chilli oil

Method

  • For the dumplings, chop up your prawns into a puree, then add your finely sliced spring onions, Mornflake Medium Oatmeal and seasonings, and mix your puree.
  • Lay out your dumpling wrappers, adding 1 tsp of the paste to the centre of each wrapper.
  • One by one, wet the edge of your wrapper, then fold as seen in the video.
  • Repeat with all the wrappers until you’ve used all your mixture, then fry your dumplings in 1 tbsp of hot oil to brown the bottoms, then add a splash of water, cover the pan with a lid, steaming the dumplings for a minute or 2.
  • Plate up 6 of your dumplings for each person, with spring onions, chilli oil, and soy sauce to dip.
