Almond Croissant Oats

Immerse yourself in this heavenly fusion of creamy oats, almond bliss, and the essence of a classic croissant.

Serves 1 bowl



50g Mornflake Jumbo Scottish Oats

230ml liquid (we used a mix of sweetened milk and water)


Pinch salt



2 tbsp ground almonds

2 tsp butter

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

2 tsp golden syrup or honey

Handful of roasted flaked almonds


  • Cook your Mornflake Jumbo Scottish Oats as you normally would.
  • Add oats to a serving bowl and leave to cool slightly.
  • For the almond paste, melt the butter and golden syrup in a small bowl in the microwave for around 30 seconds.
  • Add the vanilla extract and ground almonds, then mix until you have a paste.
  • Spread your almond paste over your oats, and leave to cool in the fridge – this will take at least 30 mins, or overnight.
  • Top with roasted flaked almonds, and a dusting of icing sugar, if you’d like.
