These little chocolate-drizzled bites of betterment are ready in a flash. Clocking in at an impressive nought to tasty in under 15 minutes, the only difficult bit is waiting until they’ve cooled before you pop one in your mouth.
400g Mornflake Organic Porridge Oats
100g plain flour
160g dried apricots, chopped
240ml brown rice syrup
120ml coconut oil, melted
120g almond butter
100g dark chocolate, melted
Pre-heat the oven to 180c and line a 9x9inch baking tray with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, stir together the oats, flour and apricots.
Combine the brown rice syrup, coconut oil and almond butter in a small bowl, then pour into the dry ingredients.
Stir together until everything is covered and well combined.
Tip the mixture into the lined tray, and press it down tightly, making sure it’s evenly spread.
Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, until nicely golden.
Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool completely between cutting into 9 even slices.
Drizzle 1 tbsp of chocolate of each bar, and set aside to harden, before transferring to an airtight container.
