Muesli FAQ

What is muesli?

Muesli is a mix of grains, dried fruit, nuts and seeds. It is usually served with milk as a breakfast dish. There are hundreds of different blends and varieties. Mornflake lightly toasts some of the flakes in their muesli, which helps them stay firm and crispy in the milk for longer. Delicious! Our Muesli Selection Pack is a great introduction to all the flavours including Fruit, Nut & Seed, Date & Fig and the No Added Sugar Swiss Style Muesli.

What is the difference between granola and muesli?

Granola is made by mixing oats with different dried fruits, nuts and seeds and gently baked into a giant flapjack. Then it is broken into bite-size pieces for you to enjoy. Muesli is similar but does not get baked and usually contains more fruit nuts and seeds than granola. Mornflake’s range of scrumptious granola products includes super-crunchy blends with high-fibre wholegrain to give you a health boost.

How long does muesli last?

Muesli can last for up to 12 months if kept in a sealed container and stored in a dry, cool place.

How healthy is muesli?

Muesli is high in fibre thanks to whole grains, fruit, nuts and seeds. It is sometimes regarded as a high-sugar food but the natural sweetness comes from the dried fruit. Mornflake has a delicious range of muesli including some tasty blends with no added sugar.
