Serves One small batch


25g butter

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 tbsp date syrup

90g Mornflake Scottish Jumbo Oats 

4 chopped dates

Pinch of flaky sea salt


  • Preheat your oven to 170°C.
  • Melt your butter and syrups together in a medium saucepan on medium heat until melted, then add your Mornflake Scottish Jumbo Oats and stir well to coat completely, adding a pinch of flaky salt.
  • Remove from the heat, then chop your dates and mix well.
  • Pour your granola over a baking tray, then bake in the oven in intervals of five minutes, stirring each time, until you have a granola which has started to turn golden and crispy. Keep your eye on it, as it may catch & some of the sugar from the dates may burn.
  • It should take about 20 minutes to cook, then remove from the oven and leave to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
  • Store in an airtight jar for up to one month.
