All the flavours of a black forest gateaux blended into a decadent smoothie. Filled with cacao, cherries and with the added health benefits of oats and golden flaxseeds.
For the smoothie
30g Mornflake Gluten Free Superfast Oats
80g frozen cherries
1 tsp. golden flaxseed
2 heaped tbsp. cacao powder
250ml almond milk
2 dates, de-stoned
1 tbsp. coconut yoghurt
1 square dark chocolate, roughly chopped
A few frozen cherries
Soak the oats and golden flaxseed in 100ml almond milk for 15 minutes in your blender cup. Then add the frozen cherries, cacao powder, dates and the rest of the almond milk. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
Pour into a glass, add a spoonful of yoghurt, a couple of cherries, chopped chocolate and some chocolate drizzle.
