How to Make

Wash and then finely grate the peel of the Satsumas.
Put the Satsuma zest into a saucepan
Add the oats, water, milk and mixed spice to the saucepan and stir thoroughly.
Place the saucepan over a high heat and bring its contents to the boil.
Reduce the heat to a simmer and stir constantly for 4 mins.
Separate the segments of one of the Satsumas and add to the cooking Porridge stirring in thoroughly.
Keep stirring for a further 1-2 mins or until you have a nice thick Porridge consistency.
Pour into bowls
Take the Medjool dates and cut into thin slices.
Swirl some pieces into the Porridge and use the rest to decorate.
Optionally garnish with cinnamon or more mixed spice. Serve hot.
