Melt fat in a saucepan over a low heat then pour into a shallow 33 x 23cm (13¼ x 9") Swiss roll tin and spread over.
Sprinkle oats evenly on top.
Chop cherries, sprinkle over oats with sultanas and chocolate chips.
Sprinkle coconut over, then pour condensed milk evenly over coconut.
Cook in centre of a moderate oven 180°C (350°F) gas 4, for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Cool in tin for 15 minutes.
Cut into 33 fingers.
Leave in tin until quite cold.
