Honey Triangles

 

Ingredients

 

40g (1½ oz) walnuts
75g (3oz) margarine
30ml (2 level tbsps) clear honey
30ml (2 level tbsps) golden syrup
75g (3 oz) soft brown sugar
130g (5 oz) Mornflake Superfast or Organic Oats

Method

Grease a shallow 17cm (7”) square tin. Chop the walnuts. Melt the margarine, honey and syrup until blended, do not boil. Stir in the sugar and oats. Spread evenly in the tin. Sprinkle with the walnuts and press in lightly. Bake at 160°C/350°F/gas 4, for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.  Allow to cool for a few minutes then cut into triangles. Remove from tin when cold.
