Ingredients

 

160g (6 oz) margarine
50g (2 oz) Demerara sugar
90ml ( 3 tbsps) golden syrup
320g (12 oz) Mornflake Superfast or Organic Oats
10ml (1 tsp) cinnamon

Method

Melt the margarine and syrup together. Add the sugar, oats and cinnamon. Grease a shallow baking tin (preferably a Swiss roll tin) and place the mixture in same, pressing it down well. Bake at 170°C (360-380°F) gas 4-5, for 20-30 minutes, until a nice golden brown. Cool slightly and then cut into squares.
