    Melt the margarine and syrup together.

    Add the sugar, oats and cinnamon.

    Grease a shallow baking tin (preferably a Swiss roll tin) and place the mixture in same, pressing it down well.

    Bake at 170°C (360-380°F) gas 4-5, for 20-30 minutes, until a nice golden brown.

    Cool slightly and then cut into squares.
