* This product typically contains approximately 100 ppm gluten (i.e. 100 mg of gluten per kilogramme of product). Oats also contain Avenin – this is a protein that is like gluten. Research shows that most people with coeliac disease can tolerate Avenin – a very small number of people with coeliac disease however are sensitive to oats and need to avoid them. We know that many consumers with coeliac disease enjoy Mornflake oat products on a daily basis – if, however, you are concerned Coeliac UK have some useful information on notes here, or please speak to your healthcare team.

To prepare a deliciously creamy porridge:

Mix 1 level cup (45g) of Mornflake Organic Oats with 2.5 cups (340ml) of cold water – add salt to taste, if you like. Bring to the boil, stirring continuously for 1 minute. Remove from heat, cover and leave to stand according to taste. If you like your porridge even creamier, just substitute half of the water for milk. Delicious!

 

To prepare in microwave oven:

As above but put in a large microwaveable bowl, uncovered.
Microwave on full power* for 4 - 4.5 minutes, stir briskly and serve.

 

* Based on 800W microwave oven, so if yours is different please adjust time accordingly.
