* This product typically contains approximately 100 ppm gluten (i.e. 100 mg of gluten per kilogramme of product). Oats also contain Avenin – this is a protein that is like gluten. Research shows that most people with coeliac disease can tolerate Avenin – a very small number of people with coeliac disease however are sensitive to oats and need to avoid them. To prepare a deliciously creamy porridge:

Mix 1 level cup (45g) of Mornflake Jumbo Oats with 2.5 cups (340ml) of cold
water - add salt to taste, if you like. Bring to the boil, and simmer for 7 - 8 minutes. Remove from heat and serve. If you like your porridge even creamier, just substitute half of the water for milk. Delicious!

To prepare in microwave oven:

As above but put in a large microwaveable bowl, uncovered.
Microwave on full power* for 4 minutes, stir briskley then cook for a further 2 minutes. Stir well and serve.

* Based on 800W microwave oven, so if yours is different please adjust time accordingly.
