Mornflake - A New World Record Sept 09
Mornflake gets its oats.......into the record books at The Lowry.
The world record for the biggest bowl of porridge was smashed today at The Lowry in Salford, Greater Manchester when 171.9kg of the healthy breakfast cooked from Mornflake Superfast Oats was served to hundreds of people in the theatre.
Chef Colin Rostron broke the existing world record, which was set at 81.2kg in Edinburgh in 2007, by stirring 27kg of oats and 150 litres of water with a specially commissioned paddle over heat for just over an hour.

Big Ben, or 'Bale Ben' as it has been dubbed by the national press, has appeared in national and local newspapers as well as the BBC national news and local TV stations.
It has been built from more than 500 bales of straw and features a full working clock with two illuminated faces which can been seen by travellers on the main A51 road between Nantwich and Chester at a point approximately one and a half miles from Nantwich. Built by Snugburys Ice Cream, it stands proudly in the middle of a field of organic oats specially grown under contract for Mornflake.
Big Ben will be staying until after Christmas 2009 and the oats will soon by harvested and will appear in Mornflake Organic Oats packs in stores nationwide during September and October."

Oxford University Cave Club Apr 09
We are proud to be sponsoring the Oxford University Cave Club Expedition to Julagua in July with a plentiful supply of Mornflake Oats as they travel on their expedition.
"Julagua 2009" is an Oxford University Cave Club (OUCC) expedition to explore deep caves in the Picos de Europa mountain range of northern Spain. Our focus will be exploration in Asopladeru La Texa / Sistema Julagua, a cave system which had as of the start of this year been explored to a depth of 1,060m. An expedition last summer furthered exploration of the system, and left a number of exciting leads.

Mornflake commission top British artist Jan 09
It is with great pleasure that we can unveil an original design by British illustrator Clare Curtis, created especially for Mornflake.
Essex born, Clare studied Illustration and Printmaking at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art Dundee and has an impressive history of exhibitions at some of the top galleries in the country. Clare’s prints are at home in many major private art collections and with corporate clients.
