Richard Jones helps Cheshire East Fostering and Adoption Recruitment manager Stephen Kelly and foster carers Ben and Becci Dearnaley of Weston load up with Oats2Go porridge pots.
Mornflake is helping to raise the profile of a foster care campaign in Cheshire.
We supported the Cheshire East Council recruitment campaign by supplying more than 2,000 of our popular Oats2Go porridge pots which will be handed out to the public during a series of summer roadshows.
Staff from the council's fostering and adoption team will be handing the pots to potential foster carers and adoptive parents at Handforth Dean shopping centre on May 24 and 25, Tatton Park on May 27, the Cheshire Show on June 19 and 20 and the Nantwich Show on July 25.
Our marketing manager Richard Jones said: "We wanted to do our bit to support this very worthy initiative. Nationally there is a shortage of 10,000 foster carers and Cheshire East Council has to be commended for all it is doing to help ease the plight of children needing a kind and loving home."
Councillor Hilda Gaddum, Cabinet member with responsibility for children and family services, said:
"I would like to thank Mornflake for its kind donation. It is encouraging that such a well-known local firm is supporting our efforts in fostering and adoption."
